I know I'm not the only one who is ever a little unhappy with my body, but this message really helps put things in perspective.

I love this clip. It is the story of the Ugly Duckling. I know in middle school and high school and even into college there were times when I felt like the ugly duckling. Who doesn't love acne, braces and glasses? I always felt super self conscious and was constantly comparing myself to people who I thought were more beautiful, smarter, funnier, or a million other things. I wish I could have focused more on who I really am, a daughter of God. I still see all of my flaws, but I have a better perspective of what is really important. I watch Sweet Girl and I feel sad to know that someday she will probably go through that phase of thinking she is not as good others around her. I just hope I can fill her with the understanding of who she really is and what amazing potential she has to do good in the world.
This week I have been enjoying a family reunion with my parents and siblings. It has been so much fun. My brother and sister-in-law planned some really fun activities that I will be sharing with you later. Today I just wanted to say how much I love being with my family. Sometimes we drive each other crazy, but I still love them. I'm not very good at expressing it, most of the time I just figure they know love them. I love this clip about the importance of showing our love to those who matter most to us.
This video clip is set to the song I Am a Child of God. This is a song I grew up singing. I knew the words by heart, but it wasn't until I was a little older that I really understood how important those words are. I am a child of God. He knows me and loves me. He knows what I feel and what I need and He wants me to be happy. This song is written for children to understand, but it is such a great reminder of who we all really are.
I just watched this beautiful little video clip about father's and daughters. It is so sweet. The message is all about how the most important thing a father can do for his daughter is to love her mother. I just loved it. It reminded me so much of the example my father set for me, and of the example I know Husband is setting for Sweet Girl.
